BOUNDARIES

When I’m taking photographs outdoors in natural environments, it puts me into a contemplative mindset. As I encountered and documented objects that we as a society use to divide and set physical limits, I began to draw connections to my own struggles with setting and respecting other people’s personal boundaries. Some of the photographs in my collection are simple and direct, while others are more complex and layered. When reflecting on this project, I want to challenge the viewer’s conception of boundaries and the barriers that we create, whether they be physical, emotional, or intellectual.
