FADED
I frequently walk on a forest path near my home, and as I look around at the natural world, I feel like I am transcending the dualist world and allowing for a magical feeling of oneness with everything around me. I document the things I see as a way of showing gratitude and appreciation for nature, where my authentic self is accepted and not judged.
The theme of this collection is to capture the beauty of plants that are fading. The life cycle of plants varies greatly, but one philosophical concept is true for all plants: they are part of the circle of life. We are both part of a larger ecosystem and we are all struggling together. The plants and the outdoors help me cope with my own experiences of loss by so beautifully embracing their own fate.
