HORIZONS

"Color helps to express light—not the physical phenomenon, but the only light that really exists, that in the artist's brain." - Henri Matisse

A rainbow is formed when light from the sun meets raindrops in the air and the raindrops separate out into different colors. Because rainbows are made in the sky, they do not touch the ground. If you are on the ground, however far you walk, the end of the rainbow will always look as if it were on the edge of the horizon. My collection Horizons consists of photographs that correspond with the colors found in the rainbow, and celebrates my attempt at expanding my own horizons by beginning to study and learn photography in 2021.
