BEAUTIFUL DAY

The photographs in my collection Beautiful Day attempt to capture some of the beautiful things you might see on any day. I started working on this collection as my mother was undergoing treatment for early onset Alzheimer’s disease. My mother is fascinated by beauty, and often asks me if I have taken pictures of the spring flowers or fall trees. When we are driving, she often asks if I can see the beauty of the sky.

I like to believe that as my mother looks at these photographs, she finds stillness, contemplation, and connection. Likewise, I hope that you find something beautiful in the collection that you can’t help but stop and enjoy for a few peaceful moments.
